Help for First-Time Homebuyers

First time homebuyers in Santa Fe, New Mexico can get a 10% tax credit (up to $8000) if they buy a home between January 1 2009 and December 1, 2009.

Governor Bill Richardson announced the loan program, saying "Essentially, you're getting free money from the federal government."
